Option A

Broadsheet

Classic front page: centred masthead, dominant lead package with a latest rail, ruled section bands, most-read column, dark long-read band. The most conventional newsroom read.

Option B

Feature-led magazine

Modern editorial: a large single feature opens the page, followed by an asymmetric mosaic, a full-bleed photo-essay band, section strips and a two-column opinion list. Carries the horizon motif from the landing page.

Option C

The Review

Typographic: a datelined briefing rail beside one dominant weekly feature and a journal-style illustrated index, closing with a culture strip. Best fit for a low-volume newsroom in its first months.

Option D

Card magazine

Bespoke rendering of the direction preferred in the vendor references (BeTheme Press 2): rounded image cards, a live headline ticker, category card rows, an ink long-read card and boxed opinion cards — built in the Open Steppe language, no vendor theme.

Every headline links to a working article template. Use the control bar (bottom right) on any page to switch EN / РУ (Russian strings are draft, pending native review), light / dark, and three placeholder colour schemes — Paper & Ink (neutral), Steppe (ochre) and Alatau (glacial blue). Schemes are one-variable-set swaps on the spec §3.6 token names: the same mechanism the Mister Pixel brand values will use. All imagery is original generated placeholder artwork (royalty-free by construction); fonts are self-hosted IBM Plex Sans + Spectral with Latin and Cyrillic subsets.
